From The President

Moranbah Traders has a long and proud history as a volunteer business network.   The organisation was incorporated in 2000, so it is timely we review the organisations strategic intent, legal structure and financial model.   The Executive Committee began planning in 2012 for this significant review and the hard work starts shortly.

I would personally like to send a big thanks to the outgoing President, Mr. Peter Finlay for the leadership of MTA over the last 2 years.  We also thank and acknowledge the tireless work of Sue Briffa who has been Treasurer for the past two years.

In conjunction with the business review, we are also asking members to participate in a survey this survey will take a few minutes.   We thank you in anticipation of your response and we look forward to reporting back to you regarding your ideas about MTA future direction with communications and programs.

The programs we are focused on at the moment are the Service Star of the Month Awards, Service In Business Awards and Gala Evening, the development and launching of the MTA eBusiness Directory and Website.  Other activities  in the pipeline are a Calendar of Events, establishment of a Growth and Reliance Officer to assist with cluster development in Moranbah and establishing beneficial partnerships with other not for profit organisations.

The entire Executive look forward to working with you our members to help drive sustainable Economic Development and Social Progress for our fantastic Community.
