In a dazzling opening to this year’s Queensland Music Festival, residents of Moranbah and Emerald will be treated to stunning open-air concerts featuring the cream of Queensland’s musical future and the artist recently named Australia’s greatest female ‘vocalist of all time’.

Tina Arena joins Queensland Youth Orchestra to perform her greatest hits and more, this July.
QMF Artistic Director James Morrison said this is an incredible opportunity for the residents of Moranbah and Emerald.
“Tina Arena has one of the most amazing voices I’ve ever heard,” James Morrison said. “She’s a home-grown international success story, mesmerizing audiences all over the globe for more than thirty years with her heartfelt, honest and powerful performance style.
“Tina’s own band will be backed by a 37 piece ensemble from the Queensland Youth Orchestra, giving audiences the opportunity to hear a group of the finest young musicians Queensland has to offer.”

Tina Arena is vocally and culturally diverse, a fact that has seen her record and perform pop, dance and musical theatre in English and French, around the world, collaborating with artists including Marc Anthony, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan. News.com recently announced Tina Arena as Australia’s greatest female ‘vocalist of all time’ as voted for by her contemporary music peers.

Tina Arena in Concert with the Queensland Youth Orchestra is a signature event of the state wide Queensland Music Festival 2013, which will take place from July 12-28.
